Dography Privacy Policy
Dography is an iPhone app that lets you create a growth album and photo cards using dog photos you take or select.
1. Information Processed on Your Device
The following information is not linked to an account and is processed only in Dography’s private storage on your iPhone:
- Dog profile: Information you enter, such as your dog’s name, date of birth, breed, and weight
- Growth album: Photos you take or select from your photo library, along with dates, featured-photo selections, and related organization data
- Photo cards: Photo card edits and save information
- Technical events: App usage information recorded to improve usability, when applicable, and stored only on your device
This information is not transmitted to Dography servers.
2. Camera and Photos
- Camera: Used to take photos of your dog only when you choose to capture a photo.
- Photo library: Only photos you explicitly select are imported into the app.
- On-device quality checks: Technical checks, such as whether a dog is present and whether a photo is clear, are performed on your device. Photos and check results are not sent to an external server.
- Temporary files: Temporary files created during processing and photos that are not added are deleted after processing. Any temporary files left after an unexpected app termination are cleaned up the next time the app launches.
3. Saving, Exporting, and Sharing Photos
Saving to Photos, exporting a photo card, creating a ZIP backup, or opening the iOS share sheet occurs only when you explicitly choose that action.
Copies exported to Photos, Files, or another app you select may remain outside Dography’s private app storage. Those copies are then governed by the policies of the relevant app or service.
4. Payment Information
Pro purchases and purchase restoration are processed by Apple through the App Store. Dography does not directly collect card numbers, bank account details, or your Apple Account credentials. The app stores only the purchase verification result and your Pro activation status.
Payment information processed by Apple is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
5. Collection, Analytics, Tracking, and Disclosure to Third Parties
The current version does not collect user accounts, location data, advertising identifiers, or contacts. It does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or user tracking.
The Dography operator does not sell or disclose your photos, profile, photo cards, or usage history to third parties. If you select another app or service from the iOS share sheet, however, your information may be processed according to the policies of the destination you choose.
6. Retention and Deletion
- Photos and profiles in the app remain on your device until you delete them.
- You can delete photos and profiles directly in the app.
- Deleting the app also removes data stored in the app’s private storage.
- Copies exported to Photos, Files, a ZIP backup, or another app are not removed when you delete Dography. You must delete those copies from their respective locations.
- The current version does not use automatic iCloud synchronization.
7. Managing Permissions and Withdrawing Consent
You can change or withdraw camera and photo access at any time in the Dography section of iOS Settings. Withdrawing permission may limit related features, but photos and profiles already stored in the app will remain until you delete them.
