Frequently Asked Questions
What can I create in Dography?
A Photo Card is a still image customized with a template, style, background, text, and output ratio. A Flash Card is a six-second vertical MP4 video with a card reveal, light sweep, and sparkle effects. Start with one photo, then choose the result you want.
When are photos added to Card Photos?
A photo is added only when you tap the capture button or explicitly select it from your photo library. Dography does not automatically take, save, upload, or share photos.
A photo I selected was not added.
Dography may perform on-device technical quality checks, such as checking whether a dog is visible and whether the photo is clear. Choose a bright, steady photo and make sure your dog is sufficiently visible in the frame. Photos that are not added and temporary files created during processing are deleted after processing.
The camera or photo picker is not working.
Check camera and photo permissions in the Dography section of iOS Settings. If permission is denied or withdrawn, related capture, photo selection, and saving features may be limited.
How do I save or share a completed card?
Use Photo Card Save or Photo Card Share for a still image. For a Flash Card, create the six-second video first, then choose Save to Photos or Share. Content leaves the app only after you choose one of these actions. Dography does not transmit photos, optional profiles, card projects, or completed cards to the operator’s servers.
What should I do before deleting the app or changing devices?
Save completed Photo Cards and Flash Card videos you want to keep to Photos or Files. Card Photos and recent card projects are stored on the current device and are not automatically synchronized or restored through iCloud.
How do I restore my Pro purchase?
Select Restore Purchases on the purchase screen and make sure you are using the same Apple Account used for the original purchase. Apple processes payments, so never send card details by email.
How can I remove Dography data?
Use the available delete controls in Card Photos or profile settings to remove individual items. Deleting Dography removes Card Photos, recent card projects, optional profile information, and cached rendering files from the app’s private storage. Copies already exported to Photos, Files, or another app must be deleted there separately.
Take Photos Safely
Do not force your dog to move or hold a specific pose. Stop immediately if your dog appears uncomfortable or tired while you are taking photos. “Flash Card” refers to the finished video effect; Dography does not require camera flash or microphone access.
